Welcome to The Brandon Projekt.com

TheBrandonProjekt, or TBP, was formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2009 by John Hipolito, Grady Wayne, and Brandon Perkins. The band considers itself to be a groove-oriented neo-soul, funk and acid jazz performance group. Their musical influences are broad and varied, ranging from the blues sounds of Johnny “guitar” Watson and Caribbean influences of the Heptones to the modern soulful sounds of Maxwell, D'Angelo and Dwele. Originally intended to be an instrumental ensemble, TBP is comprised of seasoned musicians from all over the United States, whose technical ability and raw talent have also produced truly unique original songs, akin to earlier work of Stevie Wonder and funk greats like Earth, Wind and Fire, while maintaining a current sound comparable to Amel Llarrieux, Raphael Saadiq, and Lettuce. As a ten-member ensemble, this band brings a big sound in a very big way; the diverse background of TBP and its members is the magic formula to the special chemistry.
